MRSA - Methycillin Resistant Staph Aureus

Isaac has had some skin lesions for the past few weeks, really since about when my sister Becky was here visiting in the middle of February. It started with a boil on his outer thigh, then one on his inner thigh, and now he's had two on his privates, first lefty then righty.

Anyhow, we had the the newest one lanced/cultured on Tuesday at the pediatrician (thank goodness for a good doctor....finally) and it's MRSA - Methycillin Resistant Staph Aureus. He started antibiotics tonigh (10 day's worth)and that should do the trick. (Yeah! More diarrhea!)

Hannah's new friend

Hannah has a new friend! "Oodle" has been living with us since about 6 pm last night. She is a black horse who goes everywhere Hannah goes. The only problem is that she poops in the tub, it's okay though, because Hannah rinses it out. She is a pretty well behaved horse but doesn't like Shadrack (Hannah's rocking horse) because he is brown and a boy (oh dear, has it started already?). We were able to convince Oodle to stay in the van today at Preschool drop off and Mrs. Heald said that she didn't sneak in after I left (thank goodness). Right now she's tied up in the living room because she was stepping on all of Hannah's books while she was reading. :) Periodically Hannah has to open the door so she can go outside and get a few mouthfuls of grass and a drink out of the kiddypool/dog bowl. :) It's quite hysterical!
